GIRLS Program Info

OVERVIEW
Lacrosse is played in both the fall (late August - early November) and spring (mid January - early May).

Lacrosse is not currently a UIL sport, however, that is subject to change as it continues it’s rapid growth in Texas.

A wealth of information about lacrosse can be found on the USA Lacrosse website such as the basics of the game, the rules, the equipment required, safety, etc.   Please be sure to take a look if you are new to the sport.

ELIGIBILITY RULES
We follow the TGYLL (Texas Girls Youth Lacrosse League) and TGHSLL (Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League) eligibility ByLaws.  Girls play based on where they feed into high school.  If their ISD does not have a lacrosse program, then they are eligible to play for the next closest program which is determined by the distance from their home address to the high school affiliated with a program.

Girls who live in the Lucas/Fairview area and either attend Lovejoy ISD or are home schooled are eligible to play with Lovejoy Lacrosse Club.  Girls that live in the surrounding areas of Wylie, Murphy, St. Paul and Princeton are also eligible to play,  as long as their home residence is not zoned to Rockwall ISD or Plano ISD.

Please contact the appropriate Girls Team Level Board VP with any eligibility questions.
